Hi, I have a Surface Pro X and the WiFi connection is very slow compared to any other device in my house. In many cases the speed is about 1/8 the speed of the other devices. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi Bob Dwyer (bob)"),

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. We're sorry to know that you're having Wi-Fi connectivity issue with the Surface Pro X.

By the way, can you tell us what is the current OS version of your Surface device?

To initially troubleshoot this issue, kindly run and install the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit for Surface Pro X from this link : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4037239/surface-fix-common-surface-problems-using-surface-diagnostic-toolkit.

Once you're done running the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, I'd like you to do network reset on your Surface Pro X. Just go to Settings > Network & Internet > Look for Network Reset and complete it. Once device restarted, re-connect it to your network and check if this makes any changes to the connection.

If not, right-click on the Windows icon and select Device Manager > expand Network Adapter > and right-click on the network driver available and select uninstall device. Please leave the box unchecked, just proceed uninstalling the driver and restart your Surface and check if the Wi-Fi connection works better.  If you did this already, please let us know what are the troubleshooting steps you have performed so we can further provide applicable TS for this issue.

If this helps, feel free to mark this post as an answer. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread for further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Crest_Z

    Hello,

From this portion of your instruction: "right-click on the network driver available and select uninstall device."

There does not appear, to me, to be an obvious network driver available. Are there any descriptions or indicators to what item I should be uninstalling?

    Thanks,

    Des
