I'm contacting you because I received the following email this morning. I wasn't sure whether or not it was a scam. So I thought I should contact you in case. I would have attached it or forwarded, but I couldn't find an email address to contact you.

Please let me know if it's for real or a scam. Thanks, Kathy Gartley

    Hi Katherine,

The power cord replacement applies to AC power cords for original Microsoft Surface Pro, Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 devices. Since this is a voluntary replacement, you will need to enter your information in to this page. As soon as we receive your request, you'll receive an email message with order status and tracking information.

For more information about the power cord replacement, please refer to this article.

Feel free to post back if you have any concerns.

Mark what kind of answer is this? You know that there is no way to "contact customer service". If there is, then give us the phone number, not this BS link that turns us over to a ridiculously worthless virtual agent.

Look, we all received this email notice from Microsoft to replace the cord. However, when clicking on the link in the email, it quickly indicates that the page to obtain the new cord has a virus and won't open.

It really seems to me that Microsoft has been forced by the applicable government agency to do this recall and that Microsoft is sending out the email notice and from their doing everything possible NOT to actually fulfill it's obligation under the recall.

Get with the program, this is F Class  customer service.
