    Hi, OngSee Ban!

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your concerns. We are sorry to learn you encounter issues installing the printer driver for your Surface Pro X. We understand that you can install it on your other laptop. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this and allowing us to help you out. Just to clarify, your Surface Pro X is unable to install the printer driver since you get an error, right? If that's the case, the printer driver is not compatible with the Surface Pro X's system.

I checked the Canon LBP7110Cw Printer page, clicked on Drivers & Downloads. There is a portion where you can select the Operating System. I don't see a list there that works for the Surface Pro X. Please check the Surface Pro X app compatibility page to be guided accordingly.

    • 64-bit (x64) apps won’t work. You'll need 64-bit (ARM64) apps, ***32-bit (ARM32)***apps, or 32-bit (x86) apps. You can usually find 32-bit (x86) versions of apps, but some app developers only offer 64-bit (x64) apps.

The organization that develops the app determines whether their app will work on a Windows 10 ARM-based PC. Kindly check with Canon Support if they have a version that is compatible with devices using  an ARM chip, specifically for Surface Pro X.

We hope this helps you out. Otherwise, don't hesitate to respond to this thread if there’s anything else that needs to be addressed.

    Kind regards,

    Janette_Z

    You're welcome, OngSee Ban.

I am sorry to bear this news to you. Also, I apologize for the long wait. We hope that we've provided you the answer to your queries though. You might check out other Surface devices that doesn't have an ARM processor though.

You take care and stay safe inside!

    Regards,
