Microsoft Dev Kit 2023: Sourcing a Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI _cable_ that works?

Hi everyone.

I've been searching high and low for an active Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI cable that is compatible with the Microsoft Dev Kit 2023 ("Project Volterra"), but so far I've come up with nothing.

I do know there are a ton of Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI adapters that may or may not do the trick, however to avoid desktop clutter I'd like a short (about a meter in length or so) Mini-DP to HDMI cable that works. Unfortunately, the Dev Kit 2023 product page gives absolutely no clues at all on what to buy, so I'd very much appreciate any recommendations you guys might have.

Again, please understand that I do know there are active adapters that can work, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'd like an active Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI cable. Thank you for understanding.<

(sorry for posting this in the Surface Pro X forum, but unfortunately it seems as if Microsoft hasn't set up a Dev Kit 2023 forum at all)

    Hi Peter Ericsson,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are looking for an active Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI cable that is compatible with the Microsoft Dev Kit 2023, and that you prefer a cable over an adapter to avoid desktop clutter.

However, as a Microsoft support site, we aren't able to provide a single recommendation. We can assist with identifying if a particular model is compatible based on the Surface you have, but we work with so many manufacturers around the world that it wouldn't be fair or reasonable for us to recommend one. Other community members may be able to speak to their specific preferences and let you know why they feel that way, so we will leave this thread open for their input.

    Kind regards,
    Marrion
