Micrsoft Surface - why no disk space?

Here are the details of the situation:
Microsoft Surface Pro
-2 years old
- not much on it, not used regularly
- disk space is so full
- of 118GB, I have less than 200 MB of free space impacting my ability to run a program that requires 2 GB
What I have tried to remedy the situation:
- uninstalled as many apps as I could, leaving just the ones I need or I cannot uninstall
- deleted downloads
- emptied recycling bin
- moved most of my files/documents to an external hard drive
- cleared temporary files
- deleted files associated with old updates
- performed Disk Cleanup
- activated disk optimization settings
- downloaded antivirus software and scanned the computer - no issues detected
Still no space - what is taking up all the space? How can I solve this?
