This is more a networking issue than a problem specifically with your Surface.

Hi everyone,
I'm having a difficulty printing from my Surface Pro 4. When printing a document over my wireless network, I often get a notification that the printer is not online. The document then won't print. The only way I've found to get it printing is to restart the surface pro. After the restart, printing starts immediately.
This happens even when the printer is online, and even after the Surface Pro just communicated with it wirelessly, for example to scan a document.
I've been having this problem on and off for a while. Since it started, I've replaced my wireless router (now a Medialink AC 1200), and my printer (now an HP Laserjet M281).
Any ideas?
Best,
Scott Tidwell
