According to the following two post, it seem like that the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter 4K doesn't support monitors with 2560X1440 resolution.

Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter not showing correct resolution - Microsoft Community

Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter 4K not allowing 2K Resolution - Microsoft Community

But since it's now March 2022 (1 and a helf years from the above posts), maybe the product has improved and supports 2560x1440.

So I post this question.

Is QHD(2560x1440) supported now?

    Hello 證壹王,

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We totally understand how important this set up for you.

I'd like to inform you that only the new Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter can display in 4K. However, for you to achieve this resolution as well, you need a monitor that supports 3840x2160 resolution or higher. With that being said, if you have a 2560x1440 monitor then I'm afraid 4K may not work.

If this answers your question, please let our Community know by marking this post as an answer. This helps others who may have the same concern as you.

    Kind regards,

    StevenK

I think we have been scammed, I bought both versions of the adapter, the first gives me a maximum resolution of 1050 and the 4k 1080 even though the maximum is 1200. I have tried it in others with higher resolution without success

I bought this adapter to use on a 2560x1440 monitor. When I connect it to my pc, it doesn't let me choose a resolution higher than 1920x1080.

Trying to find a way to work around it but haven't found anything useful so far.

I'm really disappointed with this Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter and will probably return it.
