    Hi, Dr. PF!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. You can check out our page to see the official Surface 44W Power Supply but it seems to be out of stock. You can also Contact Microsoft Support for replacement options.

Also refer to this page to check the wattage of the corresponding Surface Pro 6. A table is supplied on this page where you will learn how to charge your Surface

    15 volts @ 2.58 amps=39 watts 5 volts @ 1 amp=5 watts 44 watts

As long as those charges have those specs, you may purchase it.

We hope this helps you out, we highly encourage you to inform our Community by clicking on Yes or marking my post as an answer. This will help other members who may have the same issue as you. Otherwise, don't hesitate to update us so we can further assist you.

    Kind regards,

Some third party chargers have bee known to damage Surface devices. They have

    not updated the text on

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/microsoft-surface-65w-power-supply/90z4l7rp2zvs?activetab=pivot%3aoverviewtab

    • but it works with the SP5/6/7 as well.

from the answer, some is part of the whole. Microsoft chargers are overpriced as any brand item is, does not mean anything about the product quality. Also, such charger is quite bulky. I am looking for a compact version with faster charging, since microsoft chargers have low rating and I do not believe people buy this brand facing the popular "game" in the USA of intimidation, there have to be amazing products that work great and are compact, satisfying minim al space for travel.

Thanks in advance for a suggestion of a compact travel charger that is "happily" compatible with surface pro 6.

Sorry, I do not have a recommendation for a non Microsoft charger. While I agree

they are too expensive, I've seen too many people report issues with 3rd party

    chargers. You might find

of interest, but I have no personal experience with this. READ THE REVIEWS..
