I cannot get my Surface 2 to connect to my home WiFi - error message is wpad.home.network is online but isn't responding to connection attempts?

    1. When did it start?
    2. Have you restarted and tried again?
    3. Have you tried connecting on a different network?
    4. Have you tried restarted both Surface and router?
    5. Can any other devices connect to this network?
    6. Do you have all Windows and Surface updates?

    While you are getting these info for me, please consider trying these troubleshooting.

    Worked until five days ago.  Have restarted both modem and Surface several times.  All other devices can connect to modem (cell phones and laptop) no problem.  Surface connects to other WiFi networks but not to home network.  Everything has been updated.  Have run all troubleshooting to no avail.

    I'm glad that you are back. Please consider refreshingyour Surface.  That will uninstall all apps on your device. No personal files will be affected.
