i have been using Jabra evolve 75 for the past 4 years and never got disappointed with it until the battery died on my. i bought the microsoft modern wireless headset and it never worked straight for a day.

first issue is that in the middle of the call the recieved voice start to sound exactly like the Darth Vader and i have to power off the headset and start it again to get the call continued. it is just like the firmware is crashing.

second issue. when there is a teams call and the caller terminate the call the headset never let go and keeps thinking the call is still going (red light) is on all the time unless i disconnect the reciever and restart teams. if i terminate the call all is good.

there must be someone at microsoft thats able to create a working firmware or an update.

Note:

i already tried reseting the headset by pressing the two buttons for x seconds

i already tried it on different laptops and different mobiles

    Hi Ahmed Al Waeli,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your concerns with the Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset. I understand that you are experiencing issues with the audio quality and settings of the headset, and you are also inquiring about a possible firmware update.

Regarding your first issue, where the received voice sounds like Darth Vader in the middle of a call, this could be caused by a firmware issue. To resolve this, I recommend that you check if there is an available firmware update for your headset. You can do this by following these steps:

    1. Set up your Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset in the Microsoft Accessory Center app if you haven't already.
    2. Open the Microsoft Accessory Center app, and then select Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset.
    3. Select Device details. If an update is available and you’re prompted to download and install it, select Update, then follow the instructions.

Regarding your second issue, where the headset does not disconnect from a call after the caller terminates it, this could also be caused by a firmware issue. To resolve this, I recommend that you try resetting the headset to its default settings. You can do this by following these steps:

    1. Plug in your headset using the USB cable.
    2. Slide the Power button on to turn on your headset.
    3. Press and hold the Answer/end call button for more than 10 seconds. While still holding down the Answer/end call button, press and release the Bluetooth pairing button.
You'll hear a message saying your headset is on and how much battery you have left.
    4. Release the Answer/end call button.

After resetting the headset, try using it again with Microsoft Teams and see if the issue persists. If it does, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Microsoft Teams app on your computer.

In addition, I would like to share with you these articles for more details and information on using the Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset:

I hope this information helps you resolve the issues you are experiencing with your Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us again.

    Kind regards,

    Marrion

Hi and thank you for your reply.

i already depleted every solution you can find on google before i dropped my question so in regard to the firmware update there is none in the accessory center. The second solution i already done many time with no positive results and in regard to uninstalling teams, thats wont make a difference coz the issue happens on another laptop and on the mobile.

    Hi Ahmed Al Waeli,

Thank you for the response and for the clarification as I thought the issue does not occur when using the headset on another device. This definitely is an issue with the headset. Regarding with the firmware update, we do not have details yet if an update would be released soon but for this issue, please submit feedback on this to Microsoft to let our engineers and developers know about this issue through our Feedback Hub. See this page for reference: Send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app - Microsoft Support

    Hi marrion,

thank you for your reply. I have been testing different scenarios and i think i found a solution to my problem. i removed the USB reciever and connected the headset to my computer bluetooth. it seems that solved the problem. there might be something wrong with the firmware managing two channels but this seems to solve the issue. i have been using the headset for two days now with no issues but will update the post in a week to confirm 100%. i will post a feedback on the links you provided.

I have exactly the similar problem, I am IT manager and decided to buy Microsoft Modern Wireless headphone to handout to employee.. and now it started giving me headache everyone is just annoyed I even open case with Microsoft #2309191420000966 considering could be MS Teams issue .. we have roughly bought 50 unit.. and now i am replacing them with "Poly Voyager Focus UC" this work flawless.

I connected all the headset to Microsoft Accessory Center, Modern wireless Headset show "Your Device Is up to date" however Microsoft USB Link have no update information.

I bought this with strong feeling that it should work like charm for Teams but turned out to be scrap.. and no idea what to do with these headset ? do not expect such product from parent company of hardware and software.
