Windows 11 update blue-screened my Surface Book 3

Last Thursday 2/3/2022 a windows update blue screened my Surface Book 3. It boots to a screen saying no boot drive could be found. None of the recovery update instructions for using a USB recover disk in the MS help documents work, they all run for about 1-3 seconds then state that the process failed. I can't boot into windows, uninstall the faulty update, recover from a USB recovery image downloaded from Microsoft, re-install windows, nothing. I took it to a computer repair shop and they had the same outcomes.

That update just bricked my $2,000 laptop and Microsoft's response is that I have to send it in and pay them $649 for them to send me a replacement for a problem their update caused!

This is absolutely unacceptable, but there doesn't seem to be any other option unless I want to flush $2,000 down the toilet. Microsoft, I hope you are watching and can provide a more acceptable solution to fix your problem.

Anyone else that has any advise would also be appreciated.
