Surface laptop won’t start, windows logo pops up then vanished and that’s all it’ll do

Question

My surface laptop won’t start, the windows logo pops up then disappears and nothing else happens. I’ve tried all the “fixes”. This is exactly the same thing that happened to my original surface laptop - the one I have now which has just died is the one I got as a replacement under warranty. It is out of warranty now but I’m pretty sure that an ACL consumer guarantee would apply here. I think it’s reasonable for me to assume that a product like this for the price I paid would not need replacing twice in two years.

Any thoughts?

When the Windows logo appears, the Surface will shut off without showing any spinning dots. Perhaps Windows is corrupted. The issue is more likely with the hardware. I understand you want to get the device replaced. However, any replacement process is beyond our support boundaries here in the community. We recommend contacting our live support team to check the options available for your device. You may reach them through the web by following the instructions below.

1. Go to Contact Us - Microsoft Support and select Devices.
2. Choose your preferred support method.
3. Type in the problem you need help with.
4. Look at any available solutions offered and select Contact Support.
