Hello!

I am struggling here setting up my home office. When I Extend my Surface to connect to my LG 21:9 monitor the resolution is correct and it seems that there are no correct resolutions in the advanced settings. Can anyone provide an answer for how I can make my Monitor crisp and not blurry/stretched out as it is now?

Thanks much,

Sophie

    Hi Sophie_d10,

Thank you for raising this concern to us.

For us to better assist you, we’d like you to answer the following questions:

    1. What is the make and model of the cable you are using to connect your Monitor to your Surface device?
    2. Are you using Surface Dock to connect your external monitor?

For the meantime, we suggest that you go to Trouble connecting Surface to a second screen for further information.

You can also check on Monitor’s Compatibility.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted of the outcome.

    Regards.

Surface does not natively support this resolution. The Custom Resolution Utility

might help you. See https://surfacetip.com/set-custom-resolutions-on-surface/ -

suggest you create a system restore point you can go back to before

    experimenting with this.

I am having a similar problem.

When I connect the monitor with a Mini-Display to HDMI cable the monitor works flawlessly at the maximum resolution. But if i use the exact same cable to connect the monitor using the Surface Dock, it doesn't work at all. Looks like it recognize the device, but there's nothing I could do it to have the monitor working at any resolution.
