Hi Abby Yee,
Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.
I am aware of the problem you're having with your Surface device, which prevents you from using the space bar key to make the character jump when you're using the touch keyboard to play Roblox. I am here to help and let us work on this together. Allow me to ask a question.
- Would you please let me know if the issue only occurs when playing Roblox?
- May I know which Surface pro 9 processor do you have, the Intel or 5G(SQ3)?
You may try the following steps below to troubleshoot your device.
Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check any Windows updates available.
See: Fix common Surface problems using the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit (microsoft.com)
To check for updates: to Settings >> Windows updates >> Check for updates.
Modify Roblox's settings.
- Open Settings in Roblox.
- Select Movement mode and set it as default keyboard.
Run the system file checker to check if there are corrupted system files that are just looping around causing this kind of issue to exist. See Using System File Checker in Windows - Microsoft Support.
Repair Roblox app.
- Open Settings and select Apps.
- Look for Roblox app and click on advanced options.
- Click repair. Open the app and see if problem persist,
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Lavenia
