Hello, Jessica Scott.
Welcome to Microsoft Community!
I have noticed that you are experiencing a keyboard not working with your Surface Pro 8. And you have tried many troubleshooting options and even got remote support. In fact, you must be a user who knows how to care for equipment. Fixing errors will not be difficult for us.
I am sure you have also tried to manually get the driver and firmware installer for Surface Pro 8:
Download Surface Pro 8 Drivers and Firmware from Official Microsoft Download Center
Typically, after updating the drivers and firmware, we tend to be able to troubleshoot most of the problems originating from the drivers.
If the problem persists after performing the above steps, we will continue to investigate possible failures at the hardware level. At this point, I recommend that you send your Surface Pro 8 to the Surface Support team for a hardware inspection service.
I can direct you to Surface Live support, who can help you create a service order:
- Use your personal Microsoft account (not your organization account) to access the following links:
- Type Surface, press Enter, and click "Contact Support" at the bottom:
- Select Technical Support and select the device model you are currently using in Produce family, then click Confirm:
- You will see contact options for Chat support and Phone support, please contact them during business hours:
I wish you all the best.
Best Regards.
