    Hello DimPLZ 2807,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that your Surface keyboard is not working.

Based on your description, this may be a hardware issue with the Surface keyboard. I recommend trying the following steps to test the keyboard:

First, download and install the drivers for your specific Surface model using the link below. This will manually update any damaged drivers.

Download drivers and firmware for Surface - Microsoft Support

After installing the drivers, please force shut down your Surface by holding the power button, then restart it to check if the keyboard starts working.

If the keyboard still doesn't function, follow these steps to enter the UEFI interface and verify whether the keyboard operates properly there:

    1. Turn off your Surface and wait 10 seconds.
    2. Press and hold the Volume Up button—and at the same time, press and release the Power button.
    3. You'll see the logo screen on your screen. Continue to hold the Volume Up button. Release the button when the UEFI screen appears.
    4. Verify functionality:
Press the up and down arrow keys to change what is selected on the left side menu to check if the keys work or not.
Control the cursor by clicking or moving it with the touchpad.

If your keyboard remains unresponsive in the UEFI interface, this strongly indicates a hardware malfunction. As our community support is limited to technical troubleshooting, we recommend submitting a repair request through the link below for hardware-related issues:

If the keyboard works properly in the UEFI interface, the issue may lie with the system. I recommend that you first back up important data from your Surface to another device, then restore the Surface to its factory settings by creating and using a USB recovery drive.

(Note: This process will erase all data on your Surface.)
