Where is my Surface Pro 7 finding this used space?

In the storage settings, my surface indicates that I have used a total of 86.4 gb of my 116 gb disk:

32.3 gb are dedicated to system and reserves

47.6 gb are occupied by my installed apps

The remaining 6ish gb are from other sources.

My main problem is that, when calculated, space occupied by my installed apps comes up to only a little over 3297 mbs, woefully under the 47.6 gbs my system says is being occupied. What am I missing? I’ve gone through old photos, purged old/temp files, deleted thousands of emails, and I even installed a Pc cleaner to be sure, but it all made barely a difference. How can I get rid of some of this space, or at least find what is taking it all up?

    Hi Alek,

I think it is going to be hard for any of us to say, as it's your files and your device, which we can't see for obvious reasons.

What I can tell you is that if you go to Settings > System > Storage > Show more categories you will see where the space is being used.

This may help too: Manage drive space with Storage Sense - Microsoft Support

    Hope this helps,

    Greg
