I am trying to install my desktop version o CorelDraw on my new Surface pro 7 and it says that I need .NET 4, but I have the latest .net installed already. Do I need to "dumb down" to the 4?

    Hi RikaE,

Thank you for reaching out  Microsoft Community and for checking if you need the .NET 4 to be able to install CorelDraw X6 successfully.

Well, to answer your question whether you need the .NET 4 or not, I guess you need the required version of CorelDraw simply because every application has system requirement to get it to work properly or even installed it successfully and if in case that certain system requirement will not be met, it will not work properly even if it gets installed or it will not be installed. However, we would like to know if the CorelDraw X6 app you would like to install is the one shown below.

    Link : CorelDraw X6

If this is the one you would like to install, based on its system requirements, it actually works best withold  Windows OS. Your Surface has Windows 10 OS which is the most updated OS version. So it won't work with your Surface device because the app it's not compatible with the device operating system.

On the other hand, I was able to find this kind of application you would like to install on your Surface Pro 7 under the Microsoft Store with our own edition. You may check the link for further details.  CorelDraw Microsoft Store Edition.

I also reviewed the system requirements and this application works best on devices with Windows 10 OS version build 17134.0 or higher and with the .NET Framework 4.7. To double-check and confirm if your Surface device is really compatible with this version, you may go to Settings > System > About> Windows Specification.

In case you still would like to know if there's any work around to get the one you have to be installed successfully, it would be better to contact CorelDraw Support for relevant information.

I went to Turn Windows features on/off and clicked to turn on .net 3.5 and was able to get farther on the install. Now I m getting: "The system cannot find the file specified.

    coreldraw graphics suite x6/setup/ica_x64.msi

this shows twice before ending the install. The program will not install.....

    Hi RikaE,

Thank you for keeping me posted. This simply means that it really doesn't meet the system requirement even if you turned on the .Net 3.5 Framework in Windows Feature. How about installing the CorelDraw Graphic Suite X8? This runs on Windows 10.  Or it would be best if you can contact CorelDraw Support for options.

    Kind Regards,
