- What is the version of the Surface Pen?
- Were there any changes made prior to this issue?
- Have you tried to use your hand/finger on the screen, if the issue still exist?
For the meantime, you may try the following steps that may help fix the issue.
- Try pairing the Surface Pen with your Surface device again.
- Test the LED functionality. If the LED doesn’t come on, this is a power issue.
- Run Windows Updates or the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit.
- Restart your Surface device, even if it restarted during Windows Updates.
- Replace the battery of the Surface Pen.
