Brand New Surface 3 Shocks my wrist While Charging

This is my second surface, i had to send the first one back within  week due to a windows 10 error. Im hoping i dont have to send this one back too. I need it for uni. But so far they have been unreliable. I have only had it for a week, and recently i have noticed that the surface gives me a small electric shock when charging when i touch it in certain places. For example i use the surface pen to take notes and if my wrist rests on the edge of the surface it feels like ant bites and stings. After doing this for a while my wrist is now red and sore. Or if i sit it directly on my lap it can do the same. Is there a fix for this? Is it dangerous for me? Will it cause damage to my surface?

I have seen so many people talk about theirs doing the same but none of them have been resolved. If it is such a widespread issue you think there would be at least something out there?

    Hello cseyz,

That definetely doesn't sound correct and as such can be a health hazard.

Please contact Surface Support for them to handle an exchange for your Surface 3 or please return the device back to the store where you bought it.

    Best Regards
