Hello rishab,
Thank you so much for posting in Microsoft Community.
I appreciate you raising this concern to us and I understand that you're experiencing an issue with your Surface. You got me here: we'll isolate this issue together.
Here are things you may try to fix the issue:
- Check for Updates. Go to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates > Install > Restart.
- Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit.
- Go to Device Manager > expand Biometric Devices > right-click Windows Hello Face Software Device > select Uninstall > Restart Device.
- You can also try reinstalling the camera drivers. Go to Device Manager > expand Cameras > right-click the camera driver > select Uninstall > restart device.
- You can also try downloading your Surface's drivers and firmware. Download Surface Laptop 2 Drivers and Firmware. from Official Microsoft Download Center
If none of the steps work, you may be necessary to perform a factory reset of your Surface that removes everything from the device. To do this, visit this link: Restore or reset Surface for Windows - Microsoft Support.
Please let me know how it goes and hopefully it helps.
Best regards,
Rolando S.
