Surface Book 2 - Dell DA200 USB Type C Adapter not working

Question

I bought the Surface Book 2 13.5", i7, 16 RAM & 512 SSD and when I connect the Dell DA200 adapter, it's not even recognized by the Surface. I spent a few hours trying to solve the issue, unsuccessfully. I need both HDMI and Ethernet ports, so I'm thinking on buying another adapter. I've been reviewing the technical specs but I still have the doubt what kind of adapter will work with the Book 2. I'll appreciate any help on this regard.

We are currently investigating this type of concern and will further review your case. We've checked the OEM's website and found compatible computers and Surface is not in the list. Here are some adapters you could try instead:

1. Surface USB-C to HDMI Adapter
2. MOKiN Type-C to C & HDMI & USB3.0

I have the same problem, as far as I'm concerned it's the computers fault and I'm likely to return it.

I'm using a single monitor at Full HD, I didn't try 4K.
