Surface Pro 1 TB Storage question

For the 1 Terabyte storage option, is the Surface Pro 7 two separate 512 GB drives which are combined using storage spaces (same as surface pro 6 where it is combined using RAID-0), or does the new Surface Pro 7 have 1 TB as a single drive, without using RAID?

Microsoft personnel probably don't know other than the engineers.  You can look at the teardown of the Pro 7 at http://www.ifixit.com and I do believe that it is two 512GB SSD "chips" soldered to the motherboard setup in a RAID configuration to function as a single drive.

I emailed an internal contact on the Surface team and received a reply that is is a single 1TB SSD drive.
