Surface dock working with Surfacebook 3 but no driver showing

I have a Surface book 3 and surface dock 2, I can connect to monitor through dock just fine

However, dock does not appear under accessories in the surface app, installing surface dock 2 drivers doesn't seem to do anything and in the device manager there are three unknown devices called 'Firmware update', 'I2C' and 'MFG' which only appear when I use the dock, so must be related.

How can I install surface dock 2 drivers from a surface book 3?

These ones don't do anything:

Download Surface Dock 2 Drivers and Firmware from Official Microsoft Download Center

    Hello Roger S Allen,

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community and posting your concern. We're sorry for the delayed response.

The Surface Dock WMI reference will be usually shown on the Device Manager with component name. See Surface Dock WMI reference for more info. If it's not showing, try to Force a shut down and restart your Surface. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. It resets the hardware and clears all the cache and memory for your hardware. Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and check for Windows Update. Make sure to check View Optional features and select all recent updates. Restart the Surface after installing updates. Run System File Checker in Windows 10.

    Hope this helps.
