Bluetooth connection on my Surface Laptop 3 not working?

I'm currently experiencing difficulties with the Bluetooth connection on my Surface Laptop 3. Whenever I attempt to connect my AirPods, I'm not getting any sound output across any platform. This issue emerged within the last three days, even after upgrading to Windows 11 and restarting my computer. It seems to have originated after using Microsoft Teams, where the audio wasn't functioning properly. I'm uncertain about the next steps and feeling increasingly frustrated.

    Hi Tom Nicholls3

We appreciate your active participation in the Microsoft Community.

    1. Make sure that your Air Pods are fully charged and in range of your Surface Laptop 3.
    2. Download and run the Surface diagnostic toolkit. this will help us fix any hidden issue on your Surface.
    3. Check if your Air Pods are connected to any other device. If so, disconnect them from that device and try connecting them to your Surface Laptop 3 again.
    4. Restart your Surface Laptop 3 and try connecting your Air Pods again.
    5. Please click on Windows button + X then select device manager.
    6. Then click on Bluetooth> then right click on Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)- Bluetooth> then select uninstall> do not put any check mark on the small box that pop up say complete delete. Just click uninstall and okay below.
    7. Then restart the Surface to apply changes. Then try to connect the Air Pods and see if the sound is working.

If still persists, we will refresh the sound driver under device manager.

    1. Please click Windows button + X then select device manager.
    2. Click on sound, Video and game controllers> Right click on Realtek high-definition audio.> then select uninstall then do not put any check mark on the small box that pop up say complete delete. Just click uninstall and okay below.
    3. Then restart the Surface device to apply changes.
    4. Once the device is on, click on **settings>Bluetooth and device>**If you see your Air Pods, please remove and then pair it again.
    5. Check if the issue fix.

Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Kind regards,

    Christopher.
