Surface Duo Android 11 Update

When are you going to update the surface duo to android 11? I am extremely disappointed that it is taking this long. I paid $1400 and it is not getting updated. I feel like I wasted my money putting faith in a large company like yours. If I do not see an update soon, i will never, i repeat NEVER, buy microsoft hardware again.

I feel your pain! This is just unacceptable to spend the amount of money they were asking in the first place but to not get updates knowing the device is barely useable!! To make matters worse i was going to get the Duo 2 and trade this pretty useless Duo 1 in and they had the nerve to tell me it was worth $300! At this point just send everyone who has a Duo 1 the new Duo 2 with the updated software. I'm trying to stick with Microsoft but they are making it very hard!!!!!

We're finalizing the validation and certification for Android 11. We originally planned to deploy Android 11 as an update for Surface Duo in December, but we needed a few more weeks to ensure a great experience for Surface Duo customers. We expect to begin Android 11 rollout in the next few weeks, beginning with unlocked devices.

You need to get this out quick.. Since last security and launcher update its become very unstable and I'm also at end of my tether with this device.. £1300 for a flaky device with no major updates is terrible. I feel like surface 1 users have been taken for a ride and treated as an experiment.

I don't think 11 is all that helpful or better so far. Yes it was promised. Even Google has issues with some users of Pixel 6, and running into issues with 12L.

I bought the SD1 two months before the Duo 2 to try it out before buying a $1500 "toy." Plus accessories, care pkg., Office, and sliim pen 2, which set me back further.

I'd hope they would trash work on 11 and put their effort into 12L. Bought who knows.

I agree that their "big" 250MB update, now months ago, made new problems. Non Duo Android users just got a update to Launcher, though change and trying to sell users on Start news feed app seems like advertising and not important overall. (Just let users turn off the car left feeds please.)

Microsoft is being Microsoft.
