Is it possible to purchase a new keyboard for the surface book?

    Why can't a keyboard be purchased separately? What is the logic behind such policy? Unhappy customer who just called Microsoft's support line.

    Some customers have purchased these from eBay with good luck. I can't answer why

    Microsoft won't sell these separately.

    My thoughts are:

    They sell the surface without the GPU... 

    so if they were to sell the base seperately, then people would buy the cheapest surface, then buy the base with the GPU for much less.
