Windows and Edge sign out constantly of Microsoft Account

Hello Microsoft,

For a while now, Windows has been signing me out of my Microsoft account in all applications.

This happens to me in Edge, in the mail application (new outlook), the office suite, microsoft store...

For example in Edge, if I log in again, I get a screen where I have to press continue, it closes, it looks like it logs in but nothing.

If I try a few times it starts and everything is fine. If I restart my computer, it asks me to sign in again. Other times, even if you click on "sign in" several times, it never starts it.

This happens to me on Xbox as well.

I think that I have something wrong with my Microsoft account. But I don't know what.

Last week I restarted my computer and I did a clean install of Windows. It keeps happening to me.

My computer is a Surface Pro 9.

It is up to date.

Thank you for your help.

    Hello Rafapadilla,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

After fully reading everything you posted here, I noticed that you performed a "fresh install" on your Surface Pro 9. Please allow me to confirm with you that you followed the instructions in the support link below for a fresh installation:

    Windows 11 Clean Installation (microsoft.com)

Let me kindly remind you here that this is not the process for Surface, because Windows installed through this step may lack Surface specific drivers and cause various exceptions.

So, please let me share the video steps for recovering Surface devices using USB recovery drive here:

Creating and using a USB recovery drive for Surface - Microsoft Support

Following this process will restore your Surface device to factory Settings. After you complete this process, you can double check whether the problem will occur again, which will help us determine whether the source of the problem is the system or the Microsoft account.

I will wait here for your reply.

    Best Regards,

Mitchell | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
