Tip for Surface Pen with 4096 Pressure Levels vs. Tip for Surface Pen with 1024 Pressure Levels

Hi, I have the latest Surface Pen with 4096 Pressure Levels (and no Clip).

I need to replace its tip. However, every Surface Pen Tip seller is silent on whether the Tips they sell are for the Surface Pen with 4096 Levels of Pressure (the one I have), or the earlier Pen with 1024 Pressure Levels (and a Clip).

So instead, I would like to know whether the same tip can be used on both Surface Pens, or whether it cannot be. A clear answer will be appreciated very much!!

    Hello Surendran,

The Pen tips are not interchangeable between generations so it means you don't have to worry about the pressure levels. (Meaning you cannot place an older tip on the newer ones). If your pen is one of the newer ones with the 4096 pressure support, then just make sure the tips you buy are compatible, which was the Pen that came with the SP4 and after!

    Regards,

    Cristhian

I'll order the Tip anyways and post my experience on Amazon, from where I am buying it.

Surprising just how difficult it is to get a reliable answer for something as small as a Pen Tip...
