Can I disable "hey Cortana" on my surface headphones?

Using my Surface Headphones on my Mac is becoming very difficult. Throughout the day Cortana is randomly summoned during my normal conversations. This is problematic because my calls are constantly interrupted. 

Please, how can I turn off the Surface Headphones "hey Cortana" feature? If this is not possible, I'm certainly not recommending these to anyone...

    This is also happening on my PC. I cannot reliably have phone calls. How do I disable Cortana on my Surface Headphones for the PC???

    Hi AaronVia,

    Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

    You may disable the "Hey Cortana" option through the Cortana app installed on you IOS device. Open the Cortana app, tap Devices > Devices > Surface Headphones. Tap Surface Headphonesagain to manage the settings. Choose Device control and personalization then turn off the Let Cortana respond to "Hey Cortana" option. You may also check this page for more details to Manage Surface Headphones settings in Cortana.
