Netflix Has Stopped Supporting Downloads on Windows, but There's a Workaround | Lifehacker
Netflix download content for offline viewing no longer works
I have a Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 Pro. For 6 years I have had netflix and have been able to download content to watch offline while travelling without internet - The last being June 27, 2024. Today Aug 2, I noticed a new app was installed and the download function is no longer available. After spending 30 minutes on the phone with Netflix they confirmed this was due to a change Microsoft made to the App. Why has Microsoft done this? How can I get the previous app version to install? When will it be fixed?
Regards,
Christian

2024-08-06T10:38:55+00:00 Thank you for the link. While I am able to download the older version of the App when trying to connect to Netflix I am receiving this error:
Sorry, there was a problem communicating with Netflix. Please try again.

if anyone else is having that problem please advise how to workaround this issue.
Thank you.
