Run Remote Desktop IN a Window, but stretched so it fills the screen. You can't do this while the windows is maximized.. Right Click the menu bar and select Zoom
You can Zoom to a larger setting. Yes, you may need to scroll during the RDP session.

Hi All,
Whenever I connect to my server through RDP the text is so small its very hard to read. I've tried turning up the text size on the server but it makes no difference. I've also played with the resolution but then it creates navigation bars that I have to scroll from side to side and up and down. I was hoping for a way to make the items on the screen bigger and still having it fit in my laptop screen with no scroll bars when its maximized. I'm hoping there is just a setting I'm missing.
Fisrt solution, it works for windows 10 but not for windows 11
Open regedit and navigate to the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > SideBySide
Right-click, select NEW > DWORD (32 bit) Value
Type PreferExternalManifest, and then press ENTER.
Right-click PreferExternalManifest, and then click Modify.
Enter Value Data 1 and select Decimal.
Click OK. Exit Registry Editor.
The RDP app is %windir%\System32\mstsc.exe so the manifest file is mstsc.exe.manifest.
Second solution. access Remote desktop 's display setting and set it to Large, the screen is big the windows still has small size.
Thanks for reading my post.
Have a nice day all!

Sorry, no, there aren't any ways to change the default to 200% Zoom. I'd like to do this myself. You can use the Feedback Hub app to file this as a suggestion.
in my idea in surface set monitor resolation to 1080 and 100% (I always use this resolation) then in remote desktop settings
then connect and on other computer, server check screen resolation must be 1080*1920 too
undo registery to default condition frist
Hi Ramin,
It is also a solution but not suitable to my screent, I need to keep the current screent just increase the resolution of remote desktop.

Dear Bard,
This is a great solution for me, but can we change the zoom default setting to 200%?
Have a great day!
Best regards,
Khang
