Surface boots to UEFI everytime

My surface suddenly started booting to UEFI one day and it has been like that since then. But before that, it's last boot looked like it had a sign on the bottom right corner of the screen which looked like hard disk loading. 

If you restart it from the UEFI screen, it boots back to the same place. Also it shows a sign resembling hard disk on the top right corner of the UEFI screen. Tell me what to do.

    That disk icon with the X in it means that SSD is damaged/dead. You need an
