Surface Laptop (Gen 1) - Screen Burn-In Issue

Hi All,

My Surface Laptop (Gen 1) has a burn-in issue on the top - left portion of the screen.

It's definitely not a software issue and I have run the checks required.

Now the problem is when I submit/request a service order, I am stuck on the 3rd step of 5. It has literally been loading for 3 hours with no option to move on:

I've tried to get in touch with Microsoft, but it's honestly not helpful and I so I was redirected to the forums. Perhaps I can get in touch for a direct fix on this loading issue so I can actually get my laptop fixed. The warranty is valid and has yet to reach its 1-year usage.

Cheers

HOW did you try to get in touch when the web would not respond? If you are in
the US you could go to the closest physical retail Microsoft Store (there are
also 5 stores in Canada and 1 each in London, UK and Sydney, AU) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/locations/find-a-store - if you are not
able to get to a store, contact support by phone https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4051701/global-customer-service-phone-numbers.

    Thanks for the reply!

Unfortunately, im in Melbourne, AU so i wont be able to visit Microsoft directly. The calls arent available until 12am -3:30pm AEST, which means ill have to compromise sleep or find time during work to be able to do it.

I guess ill give it a shot :)
