Bluetooth wireless display screen settings

W10 laptop is using a Surface Go 2 W11 as a wireless display extension of my main screen. The problem is I can’t maximize/optimize the screen on the Surface. Most of the screen are black bars at the top and bottom of screen. Landscape or portrait doesn’t matter. Resolution also does not change this much. What can be done to fix?

    Hi WhoabaDass,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you.

I would like to ask for some details first us to understand and isolate the cause of the issue:

    • May I know what is the make and model of the Windows 10 Laptop that you are projecting to the Surface Go 2?
    • Which projection setting are you using? Extend or Duplicate?
    • On the Display settings on your Windows 10 laptop, what is the current resolution used by the Surface Go 2 as the second monitor?

I'd love to provide you with the troubleshooting steps right now to fix the problem. I am afraid that we may have to wait for the above answer first so that we can provide the necessary information. Once we collect all the information, we will formulate the feasible resolution to help you with your case or if we need you to refer to the support that suits your problem. We will be sure to let you know in advance so that you save time.

    Kind regards,

    Marrion
