Type Cover Warranty

I just bought a type cover but as checked from the warranty status, the hardware warranty will expire on 24 February 2017. Will my type cover have a one year warranty or only until 24 February 2017?

    The Type cover warranty is for 1 year.

    I have no idea.  Microsoft advertises on their website that the warranty is 1 year.
