Nvidia control panel keeps forgetting settings

Hi,

I keep setting the Nvidia control panel to "Auto-select" so I can detach my screen. Despite this it keeps randomly reverting to "High performance NVIDA processor".  This setting prevents me from detaching the screen as windows is using the processor in the keyboard. Is there any way to stop the Nvidia control panel settings from changing?

    Hello Simon,

    The device would still gauge which program will utilize the NVIDIA GPU if it's set to Auto-select. We recommend that you set the Preferred graphics processorto Integrated graphics under Global settings and choose which specific apps would utilize High-performance NVIDIA processor through Program settings.
