Purchased Laptop 3 - 15" screen, 8GB Ram, and storage 256GB. The device indicates Ram of 6GB (5.92 GB) only is available. Why <6 and not 8?

Hi EarnieMount,

The laptop 3 - 15" that I purchased had 8GB RAM with 256 storage. It shows available RAM of 5.98GB or 25% less than purchased/usable. There is 2GB reserved for the GPU. I reviewed Microsoft sales information and I do not see the 2GB reserved noted anywhere. If I had known, I would have purchased the 16GB RAM version. There is no upgrade available through Microsoft for my computer but they said that I could get a trade-in towards a new one. My 1-year-old Laptop 3 is worth $365 on trade that I paid $1500 for.
