    Hi Linh,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Surface turns on but is stuck on a logo screen. If you see this and have waited for several minutes, try the solutions, in order.

    • Force a shut down and restart: Press and hold down the power button until your Surface shuts down and restarts and you see the Windows logo screen again (about 20 seconds), then release the power button. See Force a shut down and restart your Surface for more info.
    • If you see no spinning dots, proceed to the USB Recovery step. Start your Surface by using a USB recovery drive. Here's how:
    1. Shut down your Surface.
    2. Insert the USB recovery drive into the USB port on your Surface.
    3. Press and hold the volume-down button while you press and release the power button. When the Surface logo appears, release the volume-down button.

For more info, see Creating and using a USB recovery drive.

    • If you see spinning dots. Force the device to open advanced repair options. Force the device to shut down again and restart, after two consecutive failed attempts to start Windows, the Recovery menu will appear. Select See advanced repair optionsto open a Choose an option menu. Advanced repair options may be available to perform, including Go back to the previous version, Startup Repair, System Restore, and Reset this PC.

If the problem is not resolved, there is likely a hardware problem with the Surface device. Because this model has been discontinued, out of warranty support and service for such models is no longer available. We appreciate your commitment to Surface and apologize for any inconvenience.

I hope this helps. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely

Hahn. W - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
