I was experiencing the same issue as reported here. My issue was fixed with the help of a chat technician. I just received my unit and powered it up, all was well for 2 days then I encountered this issue. After plugging in my unit for 24 hours with no luck. I unplugged the power adapter and could not power the unit up.
Steps to correct my issue:
- After booting the system with the power adapter connected, Hold Down the power button until the unit powers itself off. (Do not swipe down.)
- Disconnect the power adapter from the unit.
3) Press and hold the Power Button (wait for a depleted system battery icon full screen)
- re-connect the power adapter to the unit.
- Press and hold the volume up and Power button for 15 seconds. (the unit keyboard will light up then power down if you hold it the full 15 seconds.)
- Press and hold the volume up and power button until the keyboard lights up (about 5 seconds)
- If the system/bios menu appears, select exit and restart
- Battery is present and charging.
Note: This should be a one time fix, I suspect that it never charged until I went through the steps listed above. I hopes this helps others with the same issue.
