My husband went to use his microsoft surface and was locked out because someone tried to enter the password too many times. Nobody touched the computer. Has this happened to anybody?

    Hi Kathy!

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're here to help and let's work on this together.

I understand you're having issues with your Surface device. Happy to help and provide more options here.

With your query, this is honestly my first time to encounter this issue being locked out of your Microsoft account without any attempts of signing in. You don't have to worry; you're definitely protected by Microsoft security, and we'll do our best to check on this. If I may ask, were you able to log-in successfully now? If not, please see through this link Reset your Windows local account password - Microsoft Support for more details on resetting your password.

Please let us know how it goes. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Greetings,

    RodelioP.
