Dear Microsoft support.

I am trying to connect Surface Laptop 3 to the external monitor but without success.

What I did try:

  • connect the laptop to the 2 different monitors: TV Samsung and monitor DELL P2418D
  • connect to the monitor DELL P2418D with 2 different ways: with HDMI to USB-C and VP to USB-C. Adapters are Microsoft

Also, I tried all your suggestions:

  • Clear cache (clean registry)
  • Check cables
  • Check updates
  • Run Surface diagnostic tool
  • Check files
  • download and install Surface Update
  • checked display output on the monitor

What I have all the time:

  • first 10 seconds external monitor is working
  • then the image is blinking, quality is corrupting. Mouse action is ok
  • then image totally corrupting
  • laptop screen is blinking

Same behavior also with Samsung TV.

Surface | Surface Laptop | Display and screen

I didn't receive any response from Microsoft... Returned the product and will try another brand.

Honestly, I don't understand why the current Microsoft device has so many issues. And I am not sure about the quality center of Microsoft - it looks like only customers are trying to test devices and trying to find solutions (I still didn't receive any reaction on this topic. Just read similar issues).
