I'm having trouble inserting a micro SD card in my wifi surface pro 7+. I can locate the small slot just below the kickstand but the card does not slide smoothly in and I'm worried about damaging sharing. All the videos I see are for other models and the skit on my device is closer to the kickstand that the ones shown. Please advise/assist.

Make sure the gold-plated area of your microSD card is facing down when you put it on the device. Push the microSD card with a little force until you hear a clicking sound.

    Hello Mark3080,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community. I'm sorry that you're having a problem inserting the microSD card into your device.

May I know which Surface Pro 7+ you have? Is it the Wi-Fi model or with the LTE advanced feature? Find out which Surface model you have - Microsoft Support

Take note that Surface Pro 7+ with LTE Advanced doesn't have a microSD card slot. If you have the Wi-Fi model, on the left side of the Surface near the hinge, you'll see one of the following:

    1. SIM tray
The tray is inserted into the device and requires the SIM ejector tool to remove.
    2. microSD card slot
An exposed slot where you can slide a microSD card and click it into place.

Can you confirm please if you have these slots by providing a photo here?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Regards,

    StevenK

That's it. That should be the exposed microSD card slot right there. If you're still having a problem inserting it, kindly check if are there any damage on the slot or try testing another microSD card.
