Hi, My Surface Pro 4 used to let me know when it is low on power but now it doesn't. Instead, it just cuts out completely. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

    Hi Sammie,

It is essential for a device to have notifications especially when saving battery and power. Here's how to set low battery warnings on your Surface Pro 4 running Windows 10:

    1. Open the Control Panel.
    2. Choose Hardware and Sound.
    3. Select Power Options.
    4. Next to the active power plan, click the link Change Plan Settings. ![](https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/57c2012e-d165-460b-8ed4-1d68f720e662)
    5. Click the Change Advanced Power Settings link under the Edit Plan Settings. ![](https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/2fc15069-78df-4903-bd08-242f6a69faf3)
    6. It will show the Power Options dialog box. Scroll down, and locate the item labeled Battery.
    7. Click the plus sign (+) by Battery to display various battery notification and action options. Choose the best option.
      • Low-battery notification*:* Sets a warning for a low battery level.
    8. Click OK to finalize the settings.

I have tried all that, I even reset it back to the default but still I got no alert, It just when into hibernation. A while back I unchecked something in the registry to max performance but put it back. Apart from that I'm at a loss but it's really annoying when it cuts out with no warning.

Have you set the values to On to set the low warning? Or go to low battery level?

    Regards.
