Microsoft Ergomonic Keyboard - battery drain

Hey,

for about a week now, my MS Surface Ergonomic keyboard runs through a set of AAA batteries a day.

I have uncoupled it from my PC and coupled it again - no difference.

Does anyone have an idea what I can still do? Unfortunately it is already 1.5 years with me... so no warranty.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

If your Surface Ergonomic Keyboard drains batteries even if you're not using it, check if there are any stuck keys. You can refer to this thread about excessive battery drain but for a different keyboard.

If there are no stuck keys on your keyboard then this could be a possible hardware issue and you may need to get a new one.

Feel free to post back if you have any other concerns.

    Regards.

    Thank you.

There does not seem to be a stuck key. Once I change batteries, I can type without issues, not indicating that this is an issue. :/

Update: Just read the other thread - might be that a stuck key does nothing to indicate that it is stuck. Will check via software if there is some key stuck and just try to clean it again...

Yeah I had an issue with a stuck key draining battery on a sculpt ergonomic keyboard, will likely be this. Good luck!
