Surface Pro 8 to Two 4k Monitors

I have a new Surface Pro 8 (32GB RAM) running Windows 11 and I am trying to connect through the Surface Dock 2 into 2 LG 29WN600-W 29" 21:9 UltraWide WFHD IPS HDR10 Monitors.

After not being able to connect with 60 HZ on both monitors and working through this with microsoft support I was told the only way to get this to work is to turn off the screen on my Surface. This did work but really seems like false advertising as now I am down to 2 screens and unable to use the touch screen when connected.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? My thinkpad with less power had no problem connecting to both and still having the laptop screen working.

    Hi CB2_780,

    Greetings!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to achieve the multiple display connection.

    • Have you tried to connect the monitor one by one to verify if the issue would persist?
    • What are the models of the cable that you're using?

Try to also perform the methods below:

    • Run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and System File Checker.
    • Refresh the Intel Display driver. Go to device manager > expand the display adapter > right-click the intel display driver then choose Uninstall > Restart the device.
    • Try to lower the refresh rate and resolution of your monitors. Go to settings > Display > Advanced Display.
    • Try to lower the refresh rate of the Intel display. Go to settings > Display > Advanced Display. > Find the properties for Display 1 > lower the refresh rate.
    • Clear your display cache.
    1. Undock your Surface from the Surface Dock or disconnect the monitor from your Surface.
    2. Download the Surface Dock registry file. Choose to Open the file. This file will clear your cache, whether you have a dock or not.
    3. Select and run surface dock registry.reg.
    4. Select Yes to allow changes to your Surface, select Yes to confirm, and then select OK to close.
    5. Restart your Surface, reconnect the Dock and/or monitors, and try your external display again.

Looking forward to your response so we can further check on this.
