Screen dissolves into white on Surface Studio 2

When returning from lunch break, my surface studio had a white screen. After restarting, the screen dissolved into white (started on the left and worked its way to the right side) and won't function. Happens every time I restart it, usually after a few seconds. Any experience with something like this?

Do you have another display with usb-c or a usb-c to hdmi adapter to attach to the SS2 ? Then you can hook up the SS2 to the dispplay and see if the logic board is still working and troubleshoot device drivers and what not. If you get no signal to the new display then you know you'll have to send the SS2 to Microsoft for service or replacement.

You also might want to power down the SS2 (remove the power lead .. wait 20-30 seconds and re-attach power lead. Then try entering the UEFI menu (press power button and volume UP at the same time). If the UEFI menu shows up then there may be some hope it is a software/OS configuration issue.

Thank you for your response! It does enter the UEFI menu but then the screen dissolved almost immediately. Sometimes it works for a couple minutes after a restart but even while the computer is "working" it shows weird pixel anomalies and flickering. Then it inevitably goes white and disappears.

I am afraid that from the information you have given I think it is most likey a hardware problem. Open your Microsoft account page and open a support ticket. If your warranty has expired you'll have to pay for the repair, if they are even willing to do it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
