Trouble with Digitizer Calibration Tool on Surface Pro 7

I'm trying to calibrate my pen on my new Surface Pro 7 and having trouble launching it.

My steps are opening the Tablet PC Settings > Display Options > Calibrate... > Pen Input > Digitizer Calibration Tool window pops up, and I click Yes to allow, then the whole window closes and there is no prompt.

My device is up to date on all Windows Updates. Is this an internal hardware issue?

The pen works, bluetooth an everything. However I just want to calibrate it to the tablet for accuracy (When drawing, it makes straight lines up and down, but diagonal lines are squiggly - i'm thinking a calibration will fix?)

Much thanks!

    Hello MichaelT9,

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. Can you open PowerShell as Admin then enter the command below:

    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Once done restart the device and open it again. You may also try the Surface App then go to Pen Settings to calibrate. If no Surface App installed yet you can go to Store App and look for Surface App then install it.

Hope that works. Please keep us posted.

    Regards,

I checked the Surface App, and although there are some options for the pen, there is no calibration tool specifically. I am using a Surface Pro 7. I did not however run the PowerShell function mentioned. Have you run that function to fix this specific problem on a Pro 7?

I brought my device into the Microsoft store and the associate noticed that even their display pro 7 had this same issue. She suspected that it's possible that a new update may be needed to fix this?

Does anyone have an actual Pro 7 as well that can confim they have this same issue? The calibration tool is not working on the Surface Pro 7.

    Thanks!

Try to Perform an In-place Upgrade with Windows 10. Ensure you are signed in or have administrator rights to do a repair install. Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting. Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus Program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade.

    1. Select Download tool now, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    2. On theLicense terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    3. On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
    4. After downloading and installing, the tool will walk you through how to set up Windows 10 on your PC. All Windows 10 editions are available when you select Windows 10,except for Enterprise edition.
    5. When Windows 10 is ready to install, you’ll see a recap of what you’ve chosen, and what will be kept through the upgrade. Select Change what to keep to set whether you would like to Keep personal files and apps, or Keep personal files only, or choose to keep Nothingduring the upgrade.
    6. Save and close any open apps and files you may be running, and when you’re ready, select Install.
    7. It might take some time to install Windows 10, and your PC will restart a few times. Make sure you don’t turn off your PC.

Did you get to solve this? I have exactly the same problem with my new surface pro. The command thing doesn't seem to work and I don't want to reset my windows again.
