Next step would be to check the bluetooth driver status in device manager.
Bluetooth Completely Missing.
Hello all,
Just yesterday (1/12/16), my bluetooth icon has disappeared completely from the action center and the icon tray towards the bottom right of the screen (don't know the official term). I tried going into settings and re-enabling bluetooth, but I found that it was gone from there as well. I have browsed the internet for solutions and none have worked so far. I really don't want to have to take my computer to the Best Buy tech support again.
System: Surface Pro 4, Windows 10.

That depends on what you observed in Device Manager. Did u open the Bluetooth in Device Manager(double click)? Was The Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter there? Was it enabled? What was it's Device status when you double clicked it?
Note that a disabled Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager will result in Bluetooth disappearing exactly as u described.

2016-01-14T22:38:21+00:00 Have you tried a two button reset?
Step 1: Swipe in from the right and tap or click Settings, tap or click Power, and then tap or click Shut down to shut down Surface. If you can’t shut down Surface normally, press and hold the power button on your Surface for 30 seconds.
Step 2: After Surface turns off, press and hold volume-up button and the power button on your Surface at the same time for at least 15 seconds, and then release both.
The screen may flash the Surface logo, but continue holding the buttons down for at least 15 seconds.
Step 3: After you release the buttons, wait 10 seconds.
Step 4: Press and release the power button again to turn your Surface back on.

2016-01-15T16:20:26+00:00 This brought me to a special menu with a bunch of options. I looked through all the tabs and eventually found the bluetooth switch, which was turned on. Upon restart, nothing was different from before.
