Just purchased a surface pro 6. This device is for my son, but when we open and first setup the device is it better to make an adult account as main?

Son has his own Microsoft email but I would like to make parental controls.

    See https://www.lifewire.com/microsoft-family-safety-parental-controls-4153037
which should help. Set up your own account first as administrator and then the
    child's account.

    Hello

Can the child have is MS email account as the main account on the surface pro and then he also is part of the family parental control, will that be ok?

So are children under 16 not allowed to be the main admin/account user for a surface pro?

It isn't a question of being allowed. You said initially you wanted parental
controls. You can't have an account under parental controls also be the main
    administrator.
